Aggregate Calculator

The Aggregate Calculator helps you to estimate the aggregate tonnage required for your job.

To use the Aggregate Calculator, simply enter the width, length, and thickness of your job, and click on whether you are measuring the thickness in feet or inches. Next, click on either Base Rock, Drain Rock, or a custom density selection. The Base Rock and Drain Rock selections will fill in the density of the rock for you; the Custom selection allows you to enter a rock density in the Density field. Finally, click on the Calculate button. The calculator will estimate the number of tons of aggregate that will be required.

AGGREGATE CALCULATOR

SAND, GRAVEL & STONE CALCULATOR (BASED ON 3,000 LBS. PER CU.YD.)
UNCOMPACTED MATERIAL (LOOSE - TYPICALLY DRIVEWAYS)

Our material is sold by weight measured with state approved Department of Transportation certified scales.

Material should be estimated according to compaction requirements for job, please work with a salesman to determine your specific compaction and tonnage requirements.

Due to variances in grade (depth), potential penetration into soft subgrade, and waste created if material is moved around your project, Rogers Group will not assume responsibility for volume estimates. The calculator is designed to give an approximate estimate.

All products comply with ASTM and ASHTO M-43 and Department of Transportation Grading Requirements for Coarse and Fine Aggregates.

Note that you can cut and paste values between the various construction calculators. For instance, you could take the result from the Aggregate Calculator (which gives results in English tons) and plug it into the volume conversion calculator to convert your results to metric tons.

Please note that densities will vary somewhat between different loads, but the default values assigned for Base Rock and Drain Rock are good standard "rules of thumb" for estimating.
